My Story
My metals career began in 1983; in third grade when I made Cyndi Lauper bracelets from old colorful telephone wire for my punk rocker halloween costume. Eventually I got my AA degree from ECC, and soon after my BFA in Metals and Jewelry at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
After graduating in 2000, I worked as a full time bench jeweler for 9 years. Wanting more....I received a scholarship to attend graduate school and completed my MFA in metalsmithing at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville (SIUE). I now have a lovely husband and 5 year old son named Oliver, who loves to help me hammer in my studio. He’s been an incredible inspiration, and reminds me that every day objects really are amazing to look at!
Reality Show
In 2015, I was lucky enough to be featured on a new jewelry making reality show. It is called "Rockstar Designer," and is aired on the Jewelry Television network.
